Abidemi Onajobi (He)

Abidemi Onajobi has about 20 years’ experience providing enterprise development and management decision support services to organizations across Banking, Management Consulting and Oil & Gas industries. He currently serves as Head of Credit Risk Management at Parallex Bank Limited.

Prior to joining the bank, Abidemi was Head of Risk Policy Department at First City Monument Bank Limited and has had a brief stint as Financial Consultant in the Corporate Finance & Enterprise Development Group of Phillips Consulting Limited. He also worked as the Commercial Business Analyst for Oando Plc. He was a pioneer staff of BMC Consultants Limited, a business strategy consulting firm, and he started his career life as an Administrative Officer (National Youth Service) in the Branch Operations Department of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Lagos.

Abidemi has proven and recognized abilities in risk management, regulatory compliance, finance, business strategy, training and development, issue resolving, and conserving team. He has provided excellent analytical and consulting support to clients/employers on several projects covering strategy facilitation, business policy development, business portfolio review, business expansion, business process design, HR strategy, business plan development & market intelligence services, due diligence exercise, and manpower development across financial services, IT, manufacturing, and hotel & tourism industries. He was also responsible for developing information memorandum for a number of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises for equity and debt financing.

Abidemi is Chairman, Lagos State Chapter of the Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria. He is also Director of Budget and Planning for Platform for Liberty and Democracy (PLIDE), a not-for-profit, non-governmental international pro-democracy, pro-civil liberties, pro-human rights, pro-humanity development organization with presence in UK, Canada and Nigeria.

Abidemi holds B.Sc. (accounting) and MBA (finance) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He also holds the Fellowship of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria (ISMN). He is a Dale Carnegie Institute certified trainer and Certified Financial Consultant of the Institute of Financial Consultants, USA.
