Ian Morrell

Ian Morrell has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Ian currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at Paramount Group, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were an Engineering Manager for New York City at the same company from 2021 to 2022. Before joining Paramount Group, Ian served as the Chief Engineer at Waterman Interests from 2020 to 2021. Additionally, they worked at CBRE as a Chief Engineer, starting in 2018 and ending in 2020. During their time at CBRE, Ian focused on retro-commissioning MEP systems, developing energy-efficient upgrades, and managing a complete building management system installation. Earlier in their career, they held roles at Tishman Speyer, including Assistant Chief Engineer and Engineer, where they oversaw renovation projects, managed HVAC systems, and performed preventative maintenance. Ian began their career as a Mechanic at Fire Island Ferries, where they gained experience in fleet maintenance and repair.

Ian Morrell attended Farmingdale State College from 2007 to 2010, where they earned an Associate's degree in Criminalistics and Criminal Science. After that, from 2010 to 2014, they attended the Local 94 School of Environmental Engineering, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained an NYC Refrigeration Machine Operator's License from the FDNY in April 2012 and a Universal E.P.A Technician Certification in February 2012, although the institution from which they obtained the latter certification is unspecified.
