Kiana Calagari

Kiana Calagari has a diverse work experience in the field of machine learning and research. Kiana started their career as a Research Associate at the Qatar Computing Research Institute in August 2013, where they worked until August 2015. After that, they joined ScopeMedia Inc as a Research Intern from July to October 2017. Following this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Simon Fraser University from November 2017 to April 2018. Kiana'smost recent role is at Paravision, where they started in May 2018 as a Machine Learning Research Scientist and eventually moved up to become the Manager of Machine Learning in June 2021.

Kiana Calagari completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2010. Kiana then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in the same field at the same university, which they completed in 2012. Following their master's degree, Kiana went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University, which they completed in 2017.
