An-Li Herring is a versatile writer and author with a diverse background in journalism, legal affairs, and research. Currently self-employed as a book author, An-Li is working on two narrative nonfiction books, including one focused on the economic decline of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, following the closure of an Alcoa plant. An-Li also serves as a writer for Parcel Health, Inc., creating marketing content for an eco-friendly medication packaging startup. Previous experience includes reporting for Pittsburgh’s NPR member station, 90.5 WESA, and serving as an investigative intern at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. An-Li's legal experience includes internships at the U.S. Attorney's Office and the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, alongside significant research roles at The Center for Effective Philanthropy. An-Li holds a JD from Stanford Law School and a Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy and Economics from the University of Michigan.
