Samson Schirmer

Samson Schirmer has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Samson is currently serving as the Head of Research at Parcel since February 2022. Prior to that, from January 2020 to January 2023, Samson worked as the CPO and Co-founder at Enroute, where they were responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of software tools aimed at optimizing hospital logistics and operations.

Before their role at Enroute, Samson worked as a Product Manager (Graduate) at Dotdash from January 2020 to May 2020. Samson'smain responsibilities included building a digital tool that compares Dotdash content to trending financial media, analyzing content gaps, and creating new content to generate more web traffic.

During their time at Tocqueville Group (TQ) from September 2019 to December 2019, Samson worked as a Product Manager (Graduate), collaborating with the founders of TQ Tezos to explore the use of blockchain applications for recovering digital assets from deceased individuals. Samson built a multi-sig wallet as a proof-of-concept for recovering digital funds.

Prior to their roles in the technology industry, Samson gained experience in the manufacturing sector. Samson worked at Corning Incorporated as a Senior Process Engineer from August 2018 to May 2019, and as a Process Engineer from June 2016 to August 2018. Before that, they worked as a Process Engineer Co-op from September 2014 to July 2015, and had summer internships at Corning Incorporated in 2013 and 2012.

Samson first attended Virginia Tech from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering. After a gap of a few years, from 2019 to 2020, they enrolled in Cornell Tech and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General. In addition to their formal education, Samson obtained additional certifications from LinkedIn. In November 2020, they completed the "SQL Essential Training" course, and in September 2020, they obtained certifications for "Figma for UX Design" and "Figma: Handing off to Developers."
