Éric Värnild

Éric Värnild has been working in the technology industry since 1992. Éric began their career as a Trainee at Inria, followed by a role as a Co-Founder and Lead Software Engineer at Pool GmbH in 1994. In 1996, they became a R&D Software Engineer at InfoVista, and then a Software Engineer, Team Lead, Product Manager, and Director of Agile Coaching and Release Management at ILOG from 1998 to 2006. From 2006 to 2014, they worked at ILOG becoming IBM as the Senior Director of ODM. From 2018 to 2020, they were the VP of Engineering at RapidMiner, and since 2020 they have been the Head of Engineering at Quentic. Currently, they are the VP of Engineering and Artificial Intelligence at Paretos.

Éric Värnild obtained an Engineer's degree in Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Programming from ESIEE PARIS in 1992. Éric then obtained a Master's degree in Cognitive Ergonomics from Université Paris Cité in 1993. Éric also obtained a Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) in 1992. In 2017, they obtained an IBM Design Thinking Practitioner certification from IBM.
