Nikolay Samusik

Nikolay Samusik has extensive work experience in the biosciences field. Nikolay is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Parhelia Biosciences since June 2021. Prior to that, they founded Akoya Biosciences in 2015. Nikolay has also worked as a Senior Computational Scientist at Genentech from September 2021 to February 2022 and as a Staff Engineer at BD from April 2019 to June 2021. Before industry roles, Nikolay worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford University from February 2013 to April 2019. Nikolay also had the position of Student in Residence at StartX in 2015. Nikolay began their career as a Graduate Student Researcher and later as a PhD Student at the Max Planck Institute of Cell Biology and Genetics from February 2007 to February 2013, where they focused on the analysis of high-content RNAi and chemical screens. Nikolay also worked as a Research Technician at The Biomedical Centre from February 2003 to October 2007.

Nikolay Samusik completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics and Bioinformatics at Saint Petersburg State University from 2003 to 2007. Nikolay then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Systems Biology at MPI-CBG from 2007 to 2012.
