Bogdan Barbacaru

Bogdan Barbacaru has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Bogdan currently holds the position of Head of Compliance and Gibraltar MD at Pariplay, where they have been working since September 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Compliance at Pariplay from March 2023 to August 2023.

Before joining Pariplay, Bogdan worked at BetVictor, starting in September 2013. During their tenure at BetVictor, they held various roles including Head of Compliance (EM) from January 2023 to March 2023, Head of EDD from November 2021 to January 2023, Fraud Risk Manager from May 2020 to November 2021, Fraud and Payments Team Leader from February 2018 to April 2020, Senior Fraud and Payments Analyst from July 2016 to January 2018, Fraud and Payments Analyst from March 2015 to June 2016, and Live Casino Operator from September 2013 to March 2015.

Prior to their work in the gambling industry, Bogdan worked as a Trade Representative at Ursus Breweries from May 2008 to August 2013.

Bogdan Barbacaru holds a Graduate Degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Universitatea "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" din Iași, which they obtained from 2004 to 2008. Before that, they attended Colegiul Tehnic Gheorghe Asachi from 2000 to 2004, where they studied Mathematics and Computer Science, but did not obtain a specific degree. In terms of additional certifications, Bogdan received an International Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention with Merit from the International Compliance Association in April 2022. Bogdan also obtained certifications in Cryptocurrencies and AML from the Basel Institute on Governance in February 2021, Payments Fraud from Udemy in April 2020, Fraud Investigation from Future Learning in March 2020, AML/CTF - Advanced from the Gibraltar Association of Compliance Officers in November 2019, and completed courses in Managing People and Performance Management from Acas in July 2019.
