Bahay Ozcakmak's work experience begins in 2016 when they founded and became the managing director and CEO of Activated Water Technologies (AWT). In this role, Bahay was responsible for leading the R&D activities related to core technology development. They also served as a director for the company.
In 2017, Bahay joined Consolidated Potash Corporation (CPC) as the managing director and CEO. They focused on building a portfolio of global potash interests and integrating the aMES™ mineral processing technology into potash projects.
Bahay also worked as the manager of strategic projects for Jervois Mining, where they explored strategic opportunities for the company's Nico Young Nickel Cobalt project. They evaluated project development concepts and the potential for cobalt production.
In 2018, Bahay became the executive chairman of Fidelity Minerals Corp. and played a role in acquiring major projects in Peru. They also served as an executive director for the company.
At Lions Bay Capital, Bahay served as an executive director and helped position the company as a mining and energy finance house focused on the junior resources sector.
From 2017 to 2019, Bahay was the managing director and CEO of Consolidated Potash Corporation. They focused on potash projects and utilized the aMES™ technology for processing.
Since 2019, Bahay has held various roles, including group managing director and CEO at Parkway Process Solutions, adjunct associate professor at Victoria University, and industry partner and member of the Industry Advisory Committee at the ARC Nutrients in a Circular Economy Hub.
Throughout their career, Bahay has been involved in corporate advisory work, providing services related to corporate strategy, capital markets, and industrial technology commercialization. They have worked with numerous companies, particularly in the international clean-tech sector, and have collaborated with Victoria University on various initiatives.
Bahay Ozcakmak completed a Master of Business (MABus) degree in Economics, Corporate Strategy, Financial Management, Risk Management, Leadership, and HRM from the University of Melbourne in 2007. They also obtained a Diploma in Financial Services with a focus on Managed Investments, Securities, and Derivatives from ASIC - Mentor Business School in the same year. Earlier, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from the University of Melbourne between 1999 and 2003, with majors in Natural Resource Economics, Macroeconomics, and Biotechnology. Bahay also briefly attended University College, the University of Melbourne in 1999. Their secondary education took place at St Joseph's College. In addition to their degrees, Bahay obtained the ASIC RG146 Compliance for Investments & Insurance certification from the Australian Securities & Investments Commission in 2007.
