Anita Knudsen

Parliamentary Research Service - Expert Engagements at Parliament of NSW

Anita Knudsen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and advocacy, primarily within government and international organizations. Currently serving at the Parliamentary Research Service of the Parliament of NSW since February 2022, Anita has held significant roles including work on defence reform and national inquiries with the Australian Human Rights Commission from April 2019 to December 2020. Previous positions include inspections and research at the NSW Inspector of Custodial Services and consultancy at the United Nations. Anita's international experience encompasses program management at UNICEF in Myanmar and leading a regional review for the Danish Refugee Council in Bangkok. With a Master's degree in Applied Anthropology from Macquarie University and a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Technology Sydney, Anita combines academic knowledge with hands-on expertise in diverse sectors.
