Joseph Teboho Mokoena

Joseph Teboho Mokoena is an experienced researcher currently serving in the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa since April 2018, where strategic research is provided to Members and Committees. Prior experience includes a researcher role at Brand South Africa, focusing on cross-industry research, and a policy analyst position in the Gauteng Department of Economic Development, where challenges were identified and solutions evaluated. Joseph began the career as a graduate trainee in the Gauteng Department of Economics and Development and has also served as a tutor at the University of Johannesburg. Educational qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Finance Management from Stellenbosch University, a B.Com Honours in Econometrics, Economics, and International Money and Finance, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Monetary Economics from the University of Johannesburg.
