Alexa Suyama

Alexa Suyama has three years of experience in research and teaching. In 2022, they began working as a Research Associate at Parse Biosciences. In 2020, they started working as a Research Assistant at Oregon Health & Science University, where they developed new genetic tags for cellular proteins. Also in 2020, they began working as a Teaching Assistant at Western Washington University, where they trained students in the use of sterile technique, micropipettes, microscopy, and Kohler illumination. Alexa also corrected improper technique and answered student questions, communicated with students to facilitate critical thinking, and taught short review lectures about information pertinent to the lab.

Alexa Suyama obtained a Bachelor of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Western Washington University between 2016 and 2020.
