Cost Analyst - Argentina

As an Operations Control and Cost Analyst, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our operational performance by implementing effective control measures and monitoring costs across various departments in our international operations spanning 7 countries.

Additionally, you'll assemble various cost reports for accounting records and intercompany invoices. Your responsibilities will extend beyond traditional cost control to include the generation of financial projections, offering comprehensive insights to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, you will analyze operational and financial data, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to enhance our overall performance.

The Impact You'll Make:

Cost reporting and analysis

• Develop a monthly pre-closure payroll cost report by location to issue intercompany invoices.

• Generate a recurring, detailed end-of-month cost report for accounting records, incorporating all relevant concepts and distinguishing between direct and indirect costs as applicable. Each location will have different considerations such as health insurance, severance, etc.

• Compile a detailed variation analysis for the bi-weekly P&L (Profit and Loss) report, where analysis of cost variations will be required for both month-end and projection figures.

• Ensure accurate cost projections by meticulously factoring in provisions for various variables across all locations, including company costs, bonuses, extra payments, vacations, severance packages, among others.

• Play a dynamic role in operations and maintain fluid communication with the payroll department and its vendors, as well as with Finance and other business areas.

Cost controls

• Develop and maintain robust cost control mechanisms to track operational costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Establish tracking and control measures to audit regional P&L reports generated by account managers, ensuring compliance with required business conditions. This includes auditing current and projected revenues and costs for each region

• Implement monthly tracking and control checkpoints against defined targets per account and region.

Business analysis

• Prepare regular reports and presentations on key performance indicators (KPIs), cost trends, and variance analysis for senior management review.

• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and evaluate the financial impact of operational changes.

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate cost projections and insights into operational drivers.

• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to cost management and operational efficiency.

What You'll Bring To Us:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong focus on maintaining precise and accurate information through careful review of data, reports, and documentation, with an emphasis on close attention to detail and accuracy.

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a consulting company.

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel and/or Google Sheets data analysis tools.

• Knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial modeling techniques.

• Ability to communicate effectively and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.

• Fluency in English and Spanish.
