Connor McKim has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. In 2000, they began their career as a Trail Leader at YMCA Camp Widjiwagan, where they planned, organized, and led two to three week canoe and backpacking trips for children ages twelve to eighteen. In 2002, they took an Appointments Intern role at the Governor's Office of Wisconsin, where they communicated directly with constituents and candidates for governmental positions, and assisted in the research, vetting and selection of potential government appointees. In 2005, they were an English Teacher at Aristides Bergés High School, where they organized creative lesson plans for advanced level English students. In 2006, they held a Ski Instructor role at Vail Resorts and a Production Associate role at NBC Universal. From 2010 to 2019, they worked at The Hain Celestial Group, where they held roles as Regional Business Manager, Territory Sales Manager, Retail Sales Representative, and Marketing Intern. In 2019, they took on the role of Senior Manager of Business Development at Parsyl, an IoT supply chain data platform that delivers pioneering cargo insurance solutions for shippers of perishable goods.

Connor McKim attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a BA in History and French. During that time, they also studied History and French at Sciences Po Aix and Aix-Marseille University from 2003 to 2004.
