Marek Poliks has had a varied career in the art and technology space. In 2011, they began working as a freelance media artist, with exhibitions in 15 countries throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. In 2019, they became an Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music in the Electronic Production & Design program. In 2020, they began working at Hong Kong Baptist University as an Artist and Researcher in the Creative Lab GAN Research Cluster. In this role, they were the creative and technical lead in developing a GAN-driven audio synthesis engine with the research cluster. Marek also had upcoming publications in Leonardo (MIT Press) and a book for Routledge/CRC. In the same year, they also began working at Polytope Agency as a Technical Lead for scenographic projects and installations. In 2021, they joined Particle as a Sr. Manager of Technical Success and then Manager of Technical Success. In this role, they were the architect of Particle's Enterprise technical success and strategy department and developed and scaled TAM team, Developer Success team, and Technical Success Operations team.
Marek Poliks received their Bachelor of Arts - BA in Politics from Oberlin College in 2011, and their Bachelor of Music - BMus in Music Composition from Oberlin Conservatory in 2011. In 2019, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Music from Harvard University.
