Sylvestre Frezal

Sylvestre Frezal is Chief of Staff to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Covéa, Thierry Derez. He joined Covéa in 2018, working on strategic projects and launching a B2B2C digital broker. Before joining Covéa, he worked as an insurance supervisor, was Dean of undergraduate studies at Sciences Po Paris, and occupied senior positions at Generali France.

Mr. Frezal has published several books on risk and modeling, as well as articles in professional and academic reviews, including the North American Actuarial Journal, the Journal of Business Ethics, and the International Journal of Industrial Organization.

He holds a Ph.D., is a qualified actuary (board member of the Institut des Actuaires), and graduated from Ecole polytechnique and ENSAE.
