Soner Koldas

Soner Koldas has extensive work experience in the mining industry. Soner started their career as a Mining Engineer and Mining Overseer at GOLD FIELDS in 1991 and held various roles within the company until 2001. Soner then worked as a Project Manager at Newmont Goldcorp Corporation from 2001 to 2003. From 2004 to 2006, Soner served as the COO-Mining at Omya AG. Soner then joined Demir Export A.Ş. as the Deputy General Manager from 2006 to 2008. Soner worked at Ariana Resources plc from 2008 to 2013, where they served as the Technical Director of Ariana Resources of UK and a Board Member of Zenit Madencilik. Soner was the CEO and General Manager of Turchrome Mining Co. from 2013 to 2014. Currently, they are the General Manager and Country Director of Pasinex Resources Limited, a position they have held since November 2014.

Soner Koldas has a diverse education history. In 1986, they attended Izmir Dokuz Eylul University in Turkey, where they completed a Bachelor of Science in Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering. Following this, from 1991 to 1993, Soner pursued their education further by attending the Gold Fields of South Africa Pty Training Centre, where they obtained a Post Graduate Mining Training degree. In 1998, they enrolled in the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, specializing in Rock Engineering and completing their studies in 2000. Additionally, in 2010, Soner briefly studied at Imperial College London in the United Kingdom, focusing on Quantitative Mining Finance, Mineral Project Appraisal, and Mine Feasibility.
