Mattanah DeWitt has a diverse work experience. Mattanah is currently working at Passages as the Director of Marketing since August 2022. Previously, they served as the Associate Director of Marketing at Passages from February 2021 to September 2022. At Passages, they managed outgoing media and branding, organized digital campaigns, and partnered with alumni to tell their stories. Before Passages, Mattanah worked as the Media & Communications Coordinator at Passages from February 2020 to February 2021. Mattanah also founded a venture called This Same Purpose in 2013. Mattanah worked at Union University as the Editor-In-Chief of The Cardinal & Union, leading the editorial staff and winning several awards at the 2019 Southeast Journalism Conference. Mattanah also worked as a Resident Staff Advisor and Resident Advisor at Union University, overseeing residential life. Mattanah interned as a Communications Intern at Gibson Electric Membership Corporation in 2018 and managed the elementary art gallery at Faith Homeschool Tutorial from 2015 to 2017. Mattanah also worked as a Staff Reporter at Crockett County Times from 2015 to 2016, covering various events and writing news articles. Mattanah's work experience also includes being crowned the 2014 Miss Tennessee National Teenager and serving as a young women's conference facilitator and guest speaker.

Mattanah DeWitt completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Journalism at Union University from 2016 to 2019. Mattanah then pursued a Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree at Pillar Seminary from 2022 to 2025.

In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications. In December 2021, they became a Core Essentials Graduate (CEG) from Coach U, Inc. In November 2021, they completed the Youth Mental Health First Aid certification from MHFA. In December 2020, they obtained the Copyright for Multimedia certification from Duke University. In July 2020, they completed the Introduction to Search Engine Optimization course through Coursera. Most recently, in April 2022, they completed the Communicating During Global Emergencies program at Emory University.
