Annette van Niekerk

Annette van Niekerk has been working in the design industry since 2013. Annette began their career as a student at MGI Bloemfontein Campus. In 2014, they began volunteering as a Graphic Designer for Child Welfare and Childline Free State. In 2015, they were a Graphic Designer at CHAOS Studio and a Graphic Design Consultant at CTI Bloemfontein Small Business Unit. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a UI/UX Design Lead at Bitcube, and is currently a Product Designer at Passion.io.

Annette van Niekerk obtained their National Senior Certificate from the Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training South Africa in December 2012. Annette then attended Harrismith High School from 2008 to 2012. In 2013, they began their Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design at MGI Bloemfontein Campus and graduated in 2015. In April 2016, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from The Senate of Midrand Graduate Institute. In 2018, they obtained several certifications from The Interaction Design Foundation and Interaction Design Foundation (IDF), including Become a UX Designer from Scratch, Interaction Design for Usability, User Experience: The Beginner’s Guide, and Mobile User Experience (UX) Design.
