Thomas Taggart has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Their most recent role was as the Head of Global Trade at Passport, where they helped brands navigate cross-border challenges to reach new customers in new markets. Prior to that, they worked as an Advisor at AccenTrade, providing global trade advisory services to Direct-to-Consumer brands. Thomas also served as an Advisor and Chief Product & Logistics Officer at CaribShopper, an e-commerce platform for Caribbean brands. Thomas has also worked as a Part-Time Instructor at The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute at Georgia State University, teaching innovation principles and frameworks. Earlier in their career, they held positions at UPS in New Product Development and at the U.S. Department of State as a Foreign Service Officer. Thomas also worked as a Senior Consultant at BAE Systems, a Consultant at Strasburger Enterprises, Inc., and in a leadership program at ExxonMobil managing company-owned retail stores. Thomas began their career as a Summer Associate at Citi.

Thomas Taggart has a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Thomas also holds an IMBA (International Master of Business Administration) from the Darla Moore School of Business. Additionally, they have completed Advanced Courses in Strategic Business Issues in the European Union from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. In terms of additional certifications, Thomas is an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner certified by IBM and has obtained certifications in Design Thinking from IDEO U and as a Certified Leanstack Continuous Innovation Coach from LEANSTACK. Furthermore, they have a certification in Agile Portfolio and Program Management from UPS.
