Phil Hickmon

Phil Hickmon has a diverse work experience spanning over 24 years in the field of Behavioral Health. Phil has held senior-level positions including CEO, COO, and VP in various organizations such as Mostly Medicaid, OPEN MINDS Circle, Hope Network, Acadia Healthcare, UHS Inc., and Magellan Health. Phil has also worked as an independent consultant, advising clients in technology, health plan, provider, and investor sectors. Phil has specific expertise in strategy, operations, business development/contracting, managed care, health plans, psychiatric hospitals, and consulting firms. Additionally, they have experience as a Regional Sales Executive at Patagonia Health and a Sales Executive II at NextGen Healthcare. Phil Hickmon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Med/Psychology from Michigan State University, attending from 1991 to 1996. Later, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) in Healthcare Administration with a concentration in Managed Care and Finance at Western Michigan University, studying from 2003 to 2006. In addition to their degrees, Phil also obtained a certification as a Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW) from the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services in April 2000.
