Wenley Tong

Wenley Tong has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Most recently, they have been working as a Staff Software Engineer at Patch since February 2023. Prior to that, Wenley worked at Gusto from November 2018 to November 2022, where they served as a Tech Lead for a team of 6 engineers. Their responsibilities included upgrading core systems in the payroll product and increasing the throughput of daily critical processes.

Before Gusto, Wenley was a Software Engineer at Flexport from September 2017 to October 2018. They also worked at Square from August 2014 to August 2017, initially as a Software Engineer and later as a Software Engineering Consultant. At Square, they worked on various projects and even upgraded a Ruby on Rails application.

In addition to their software engineering roles, Wenley also had experience in mentoring and teaching. They worked as a Coordinator and Mentor at Integrated Science Mentoring from August 2011 to June 2014. They also served as a Friend Center Lab TA at Princeton University from September 2012 to January 2014.

In terms of their academic background, Wenley was involved in research as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Rexford Lab Group in the Princeton Computer Science Department from June 2012 to August 2012. They also held the role of Webmaster for the Princeton University Orchestra from September 2010 to January 2014. Furthermore, Wenley served as a Project Manager for PAL: Princeton Academic Linker from February 2012 to May 2012.

Wenley Tong attended Princeton University from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) degree with a major in Computer Science.
