John Abel

John Abel currently serves as the Director of Biomedical Data Science at PathAI, a position held since September 2020, after progressing through various roles including Associate Director and Senior Biomedical Data Scientist. Prior to this, John was a Research Affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Picower Institute for Learning and Memory from July 2018 to December 2021 and completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Educationally, John attained a Ph.D. in Systems Biology from Harvard University and holds an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, along with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University. Prior experience includes work as a Graduate Research Assistant at both Harvard University and UC Santa Barbara, as well as an EHS Engineering Intern at GE Aviation.
