Claudia Grossmann

Associate Director, Infrastructure & Innovation at Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute

Claudia Grossmann has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Claudia is currently serving as the Associate Director of Research Infrastructure at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), a position they have held since June 2022. In this role, they provide oversight for the National Patient-Centered Clinical Research Network (PCORnet) and supports research initiatives aimed at strengthening patient-powered research networks. Prior to this, Claudia worked as a Senior Program Officer at PCORI from March 2016 to July 2022.

Before joining PCORI, Claudia worked as an Analyst at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from March 2015 to March 2016, where they were part of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation.

Claudia has also held positions at the Institute of Medicine. From June 2012 to February 2015, they worked as a Senior Program Officer, and from November 2009 to June 2012, they served as a Program Officer.

Claudia'scareer started at the California Breast Cancer Research Program, where they worked as a Program Evaluator from September 2007 to November 2009. Prior to that, they served as a Research Associate at the Institute for Health Policy Studies, UCSF, from October 2005 to August 2007.

Claudia's first professional experience was as a Science and Technology Policy Fellow at the Institute of Medicine in June 2005. Overall, their work experience spans a variety of roles in research, program management, and policy analysis within the healthcare field.

Claudia Grossmann obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis between 1996 and 2000. Following this, they pursued their PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco from 2001 to 2007.
