Advisor, Clinicial Effectiveness And Decision Science at Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute
Ish Bhalla serves as the Head of Behavioral Health at WelbeHealth since June 2024. Additionally, Ish currently holds the position of Advisor in Clinical Effectiveness and Decision Science at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and works as an Assistant Consulting Professor at Duke University School of Medicine. Ish previously worked at Blue Cross NC from June 2020 to June 2024 as Medical Director of Behavioral Health Value Transformation, and also as Associate Medical Director in the same department. Prior roles include Medical Director at Landmark Health and National Clinician Scholar at UCLA Health. Ish completed a Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship and an Adult Psychiatry Residency at Yale University, and earned a Master of Science in Health Policy and Management from UCLA. The academic journey began with a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Toledo and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University.
