Steve Tomey has a diverse work experience in various roles. Steve started as a Research Assistant at the Gilliam Center for Free Enterprise and Ethical Leadership in James Madison University from August 2012 to April 2013.
Later, they worked at the Corporation for National and Community Service as a Program Assistant for the Social Innovation Fund from March 2014 to September 2015, where they were involved in outreach, application review, and fund administration.
From September 2015 to December 2015, Steve worked as a Member Services Coordinator at First Book, where they investigated issues for a network of international educators and ensured the quality assurance of CRM data.
Steve then transitioned to the role of Procurement Coordinator, eCommerce Operations at First Book from January 2016 to April 2020. In this role, they analyzed inventory turns and sales variance to drive timely procurement for a diverse catalog of over 4,000 products. Steve also coordinated procurement orders and deliveries with vendors and 3PLs, increasing procurement capacity.
Currently, Steve is working at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) as a Data Specialist since January 2021. Steve was recently promoted to the position of Data Management Analyst in August, where they utilize their expertise in data management and analysis.
Steve Tomey's education history includes a Master of Science in Analytics from American University - Kogod School of Business, which they obtained from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Management from James Madison University, graduating between 2009 and 2013. In addition, they have obtained a certification in Master of Science, Analytics from American University in December 2020.
