Marty Smith

Marty Smith has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2000, they were the Director of Engineering Services at Thoughtmill Inc. Marty then moved to Trinsic Inc/Z-Tel Communications in 2002, where they were the Director of Enhanced Services. In 2004, Marty was the Development Lead/Co-Founder at Sipstorm Inc, and also worked as a Consultant at BellSouth/AT&T. That same year, they took on the role of Vice President of Applications Development at Z-Tel Communications. In 2005, Marty became President/Owner of Commverged Solutions. From 2007 to 2016, they worked at McKesson Health Solutions, first as VP of Research and Development and McKesson Fellow, then as VP of Product Development - McKesson Fellow, and finally as Senior Director, Product Development - McKesson Fellow. From 2016 to 2020, Marty was Chief Technology Officer and Product Leader at Craneware. Most recently, they have been the Chief Technology Officer at PatientsLikeMe, LLC. since 2022.

Marty Smith received an MSOR in Operations Research from The University of Alabama in Huntsville between 1986 and 1987. Prior to that, they earned a BS in Computer Science from Jacksonville State University between 1982 and 1985.
