Andrew Vernon

Andrew Vernon has over 24 years of experience in the finance industry. Andrew is currently working at Pattern Energy Group as a Senior Finance Director in the Corporate Development department, where they are responsible for raising and executing project financings for new and existing renewable energy projects in the US and Canada. Prior to joining Pattern Energy Group, Andrew worked at NORD/LB for 16 years as a Senior Director, where they played a key role in developing NORD/LB into a top-10 lender in the North American renewables market. Andrew was responsible for sourcing, negotiating, managing, and executing several hundreds of millions of dollars in coordinating lead arranger roles for the bank with top-tier US clients. Before that, Andrew worked at Bank of Scotland for 5 years, starting as an Analyst and eventually reaching the position of Assistant Vice President. At Bank of Scotland, they played a crucial role in building the bank's presence in project financing for CCGT power plants, pipelines, and wind projects. Andrew was involved in new business development, relationship management, credit underwriting, and portfolio management. Andrew also has experience working at Société Générale as an Associate in the Workout & Restructuring department, where they handled the senior-secured construction loan workout and restructuring of a portfolio of in-construction merchant power plants in the US. Their earliest work experience was at The World Bank, where they served as a Team Assistant in the Private Sector Development Department.

Andrew Vernon attended the University of Maryland from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
