Laura Maelane

Laura Maelane has extensive work experience in finance and management roles. Laura is currently working as the Finance Director - Europe and MENA at Pattern® International since November 2022. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of FP&A - Family Brands at Entertainment One from November 2021 to November 2022.

Before that, Laura worked at Universal Pictures where they held various positions including Head of UCA Finance and FP&A from January 2019 to July 2021, Senior Finance Manager from February 2018 to December 2018, and Financial Planning and Analysis Manager from July 2015 to January 2018.

Laura also worked as a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Paramount Pictures from March 2014 to June 2015 and as a Commercial Controller at L'Oréal in the Active Cosmetics Division for the UK and Ireland from June 2013 to February 2014.

Laura took a career break and volunteered from October 2012 to March 2013. Prior to the break, they worked at M&G as a Business Analyst from March 2011 to October 2012 and as a Management Accountant from March 2009 to March 2011.

Their earliest professional experience was at Merrill Lynch, where they worked as a Finance Analyst from February 2007 to March 2009 and again from January 2006 to January 2007.

Laura Maelane's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from Swansea University, which they obtained between 2002 and 2005. Their field of study at Swansea University was Mathematics and Economics. Additionally, Laura obtained a certification from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 2007.
