For more than a decade, he has assisted clients with a wide and diverse range of technologies, including medical devices, automotive technologies, software applications, semiconductor design and manufacturing, telecommunications, banking, financial technologies, artificial intelligence and machine learning, blockchain, green technologies, optics, cosmetic products, HVAC technologies, insurance products, e-commerce, touchscreen technologies, and freight transportation. Before practicing law, Charles was a software engineer at MicroStrategy, where he oversaw the company’s central server technology. He was one of the fastest and youngest to ever be promoted to the company’s Senior Engineer ranks. He is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Charles holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University and his Juris Doctor from the Duke University School of Law.
Charles actively gives back to his community and local government, as well. For ten years, he led the attorney volunteer efforts at the Dallas Housing Crisis Center, where he personally helped more than 100 families avoid homelessness. He continues dedicating pro bono legal services to help low-income tenants in landlord disputes. Charles also served on the Murphy Board of Adjustment, a committee appointed by the City Council of Murphy, Texas.
