Ian Johnson

Embedded Firmware And Software Developer at Paul Scherrer-Institut

Ian Johnson is an experienced Embedded Firmware and Software Developer, having worked at Paul Scherrer Institut PSI and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. At PSI, Ian was responsible for developing high speed data acquisition systems and implemented a complete Convolutional Neural Network on an FPGA. Previously, Ian worked on one of the world's fastest framing X-ray pixel detectors and coordinated high-throughput data acquisition systems at PSI. With a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Davis, Ian's research has focused on diffractive imaging techniques and particle production in heavy ion collisions.
