Shabnam Kamil

Shabnam Kamil has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Shabnam began their career as a Design Executive at FARWOOD INDUSTRIES LIMITED from July 2001 to December 2002. Shabnam then worked as an Assistant Manager at the same company from January 2003 to July 2007.

In 2013, Shabnam joined Do My Home as a Customer Sales Manager, where they worked until July 2014. Shabnam then moved on to Maks.Inc and served as a Business Development Manager from July 2014 to December 2015.

In 2016, they worked as an Organoleptic Consultant at Frshly from November 2016 to April 2017. Shabnam then joined Paulsons Beauty & Fashion Private Limited as Vice President from November 2017 to August 2018. During their time at Paulsons, they also held roles as General Manager from April to December 2017, Vice President - Marketing & Design from December 2017 to August 2018, and additional President from April 2017 to September 2023.

From January to December 2018, they worked as a Freelance Writer at The Indian Express. Shabnam continued their freelance writing career at The Hindu from April 2021 to the present. In addition to their freelance work, Shabnam has also been running their own blog since February 2015.

Shabnam Kamil completed their high school education at Janaki Ramachandran Kalalayam Matriculation Higher Secondary School from 1988 to 1997. Shabnam then pursued a degree in Interior Design and Decoration at JUSTICE BASHER AHMED SAYEED COLLEGE FOR WOMEN from 1997 to 2000. Following that, they obtained a Diploma in Interior Design and Decoration from Ex-In Pvt Ltd in 2000-2001. Finally, they furthered their education by earning a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Marketing from Loyola College and Pondicherry University between 2013 and 2015.
