Austen Head

Austen Head has a diverse range of work experience. They started their career at Stanford University as a Visiting Professor, where they taught a statistics course. Austen then worked as a Statistical Consultant, providing consulting services to various clients in different disciplines. They also worked as a Founding Data Scientist at Earnest Inc, where they developed data products and implemented predictive models for loan decisions. Austen later became a Senior Data Scientist at Quid, before joining Halo Tech Software as a Data Scientist and Advisor, where they developed and implemented machine learning models and built databases. Austen also worked as a Data Science Advisor at Patreon and PayJoy, and took a sabbatical to consult with startups and engage in self-study.

Austen Head earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Pomona College in 2008. They then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Statistics at Stanford University from 2008 to 2014. In 2007, Austen also participated in a study abroad semester focused on Graph Theory at Budapest Semesters in Mathematics.
