Ian Ellis

Ian Ellis is a seasoned payments industry specialist with extensive experience in payment systems and regulatory environments. Currently serving at the Payment Systems Regulator since May 2014, Ian plays a crucial role in overseeing the UK's payments industry. Previously, Ian held significant positions at CGI as a Product Manager for the Payment Services Hub, and at Citi as Vice President of Treasury & Trade Solutions, where responsibilities included managing EMEA payments products and representing Citi on various industry boards. Ian's earlier career at Bacs involved leading projects and regulatory initiatives, and Ian's foundational experience at Barclays Bank encompassed product management in domestic and cross-border payment products. Ian holds a BSc in Financial Services from Alliance Manchester Business School and a BA in Economics & Politics from the University of Wolverhampton.
