Matias Elgart

Matias Elgart is an experienced technology leader with a diverse background in platform engineering and architecture. Currently serving as the Chief Architect at PaymentWorks since July 2014, Matias has previously held roles including Vice President of Platform Engineering and Principal Engineer, where responsibilities included scaling the platform and developing engineering teams. Prior experience includes significant positions at Disney Interactive as a Senior Lead Engineer, where Matias contributed to distributed data storage web services, and at Adobe Systems in various technical lead capacities focusing on web services for Creative Suite products. Matias began a career at Macromedia, Inc. as an Enterprise Data Modeler/System Architect, and has experience as a Software Engineer at Sun Microsystems, demonstrating a solid foundation in software development across multiple technologies and platforms. Matias holds a BA in Computer Science Applications with an emphasis in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado Boulder and pursued additional studies at Stanford Continuing Studies.
