Paulo then pursued a degree in Production Engineering from FEI, where they studied from 1992 to 1998. During this time, they also completed a Spanish course at CCAA in 1996 to 1997.

In 1994, Paulo attended CPOR - Centro de Preparação de Oficiais da Reserva to become a Cavalry Lieutenant in the Army.

To enhance their management skills, Paulo obtained an Executive MBA from BSP - Business School São Paulo from 2001 to 2002.

In 2002, Paulo attended the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management for a course on Managing in the Global Economy.

In 2006, they completed a Project Management course at Fundação Vanzolini.
