Loretta Adamu

Loretta Adamu is a Growth Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services and startup accelerator industries. Skilled in Communications, Event Planning, Program Management, Marketing, and Fundraising. Strong program and project management professional with a Bachelor's degree focused in English Language and Literature, General from the University of Abuja.

Loretta began their career as a Communications Executive with the Civic Innovation Lab in Abuja, Nigeria. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies to promote the work of the lab and its partners. Loretta also managed media relations and designed and implemented events to raise awareness of the lab's work.

In January 2018, Loretta became the Head of Programs for SheLeadsAfrica.Org, an organization that supports and invests in African women entrepreneurs. In this role, they were responsible for managing all aspects of the organization's programs, including planning and executing events, developing and managing partnerships, and providing support to the organization's growing team.

In September 2020, Loretta joined MEST Africa as a Senior Program Associate. In this role, they worked closely with the manager to design and manage MEST Scale, an accelerator program for scale-stage ventures with the intent to bring them to the next level. Loretta also provided program and marketing support as required to the Catalyst Fund Inclusive Digital Commerce Accelerator program and collaborated with the marketing team to develop content and implement program marketing strategy.

Loretta currently serves as Growth Specialist at Paystack, where they are responsible for building and maintaining a team of influencer partners who align with the brand, developing and executing influencer marketing strategies and creative campaigns to increase user growth, brainstorming new approaches to influencer campaigns to create brand awareness and social engagement, and working with the growth team to create and coordinate marketing strategies that work across different channels.

Loretta Adamu completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering at Ambrose Alli University.
