Ankur Tyagi

Ankur Tyagi has extensive work experience in the technology governance, compliance, and risk management field. Ankur is currently serving as the Head of Technology Governance & Compliance at Paytm Payments Bank since November 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of Head of IS Audits from September 2018 to November 2021 at the same company.

Before joining Paytm, Ankur worked at EXL as a Senior Manager in July 2018 and later as a Manager from July 2016 to June 2018. Ankur also served as a Lead Assistant Manager in Internal Audit & Compliance from September 2014 to June 2016.

Ankur gained experience in risk and governance at Barclays, where they worked as an Assistant Manager from March 2014 to September 2014. Ankur contributed to the implementation and monitoring of a robust risk and control framework for third-party suppliers.

Earlier in their career, Ankur worked at PwC India as a Senior Consultant in the Risk Advisory Services division from April 2013 to February 2014. Ankur also served as a Consultant in the same division from April 2011 to March 2013, where they conducted IT audits, reviews, and implemented information security management systems.

Ankur's work experience includes a role as a Master Trainer at T & M Consulting Services Private Limited from December 2007 to May 2008.

Ankur began their career as a Technical Support Officer at HCL Technologies BPO from September 2006 to September 2007.

Ankur Tyagi completed an Executive Program in Business and Data Analytics from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow in 2019-2020. Prior to that, they earned an MBA in Telecom Management from the Symbiosis Institute of Digital & Telecom Management (SIDTM), Pune from 2009-2011. Ankur also holds a B Tech degree in Information Technology from Northern India Engineering College from 2002-2006. In terms of certifications, they are a Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) from ISACA, obtained in 2016, an ISO 22301 Lead Auditor from BSI obtained in February 2016, an ISO 27001 Lead Auditor from BSI obtained in September 2015, and a BS 10012 CLIP from BSI obtained in January 2018. Ankur is also a DSCI Certified Privacy Lead Assessor, but the obtained year is unknown.
