Arun Kumar

Arun Kumar has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Arun currently holds the position of VP & Head of Data Science at Paytm Payments Bank since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at OYO as the VP & Head of Data Science for Global markets from April 2019 to March 2022. Arun also served as the Head of Data Science for Global Service Operations at Groupon from January 2017 to March 2019, and as the Head of Data Science/Machine Learning for APAC at Groupon from January 2015 to December 2016. Before joining Groupon, they held the role of Director, Data Science/Groupon Goods Inventory Management from February 2013 to December 2014. Arun has also worked as the Assistant Vice President - Advanced Analytics at Max Life Insurance Company Limited, Group Manager & Advanced Analytics Practice Head at HCL Technologies, Senior Manager and Predictive Analytics Solutions Architect at Mahindra Satyam, Lead Consultant - Analytics at Ness Global Services, Singapore, and Lead - Analytics at Tata Consultancy Services. Arun began their career as an Engineer at Water and Power Consutancy Services. In addition to their corporate roles, Arun has also contributed to the field of education as a Visiting Faculty Member at the Great Lakes Institute of Management.

Arun Kumar earned an M.TECH. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, they received a B.E. degree from the same institution from 1994 to 1998. Arun also pursued a PGDM degree in International Marketing from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Advanced SAS and Base SAS from the SAS Institute in 2005.
