Jaco Veldsman

Jaco Veldsman is currently the co-founder of Paytron. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Growth and Operations at Epoch Capital from March 2013 to March 2020. Before that, they were the Chief Risk Officer - Asia Pacific at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. from January 2011 to December 2013.

Jaco has also held the position of Head of Risk (FX & FX Options) at Commonwealth Bank from January 2008 to December 2011. Jaco was also the Chief Risk Officer at Brait SE from January 2006 to December 2008. Additionally, they have served as the Head of Risk - Prime Broking at Rand Merchant Bank from January 2005 to December 2006.

Jaco's career in risk management began at Standard Chartered Bank where they held multiple risk manager roles from January 2001 to December 2004. Jaco has also worked with companies such as Standard Chartered Bank and GT247.

Jaco Veldsman has a Bachelor of Commerce in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from Stellenbosch University, and is a CFA Charterholder.
