The kind of stuff you’ll be doing:

•  Revolutionizing Online Ordering: Play a key role in developing and scaling a cutting-edge, high-volume online ordering platform for well-known restaurants and convenience stores.
• Implementing Innovative Features: Design and implement exciting new features for our ordering stack, leveraging PHP and Vue.js, all hosted on the AWS cloud.
• Creating Seamless Integrations: Extend, create, and document APIs that streamline online orders, menus, and store information.
• Partnering with Food-Tech Leaders: Integrate with top delivery, marketplace, and point of sale partners in the food-tech ecosystem.
• Enhancing Systems: Continuously improve existing services and software components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Solving Complex Problems: Tackle challenging issues like multi-component integration and performance bottlenecks.
• Leveraging AI: Use AI technology to enhance the online ordering experience, boosting guest satisfaction and streamlining restaurant operations.

The kind of experience you’ll need:

• Expertise: 5+ years of web application development experience, spanning both back-end and front-end disciplines.
• Programming Experience: Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, or similar web development languages.
• Architectural Prowess: In-depth knowledge of scalable web application architectures, including caching, asynchronous processing, and queues.
• Framework Mastery: Proficiency with MVC frameworks like Laravel and front-end frameworks like React or Vue.
• Database Savvy: Strong experience with database performance optimization, indexing, and query execution plans.
• Web Tech Fundamentals: Solid understanding of essential web technologies such as HTTP, REST, JSON, and XML.
• Testing Know-How: Experience with integration, functional, and unit testing to ensure high-quality code.
• Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems, with a preference for Git.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The extra stuff that would be nice:

• Experience with Nuxt or other Vue.js frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Familiarity with MongoDB or document databases.
• Knowledge of delivery and marketplace systems like Uber and DoorDash.
• Understanding of Point of Sale systems like Revel, Toast, NCR Aloha/RPOS, Square, etc.
• Familiarity with payment processing and PCI compliance.

Salary Range: 120-140k
