Jonathan Ooi

Jonathan Ooi has worked in various tech roles throughout their career. Jonathan started as an IT Network Specialist at EQX Asia Sdn Bhd. After that, they worked as a Group IT Executive at Pen Petroleum Sdn Bhd. Jonathan's role was to maintain on premise IT infrastructures and build an internal employee portal. Later, they worked as an Assistant Manager - Development & Operations at Rednet (M) Sdn Bhd - PENPEC GROUP. Jonathan was responsible for transforming the director's IT ideas into reality, including website and mobile application development and pen testing. After that, they worked at Carsome as a Senior Full Stack Engineer, and then as an Interim Tech Lead, where they were responsible for leading a team. Jonathan then worked at EY as a Technology Consultant Manager, where their scope was to craft technology-related business proposals and lead multiple teams and projects. Jonathan'smost recent job is as a Senior Software Engineer at Pow Pocket Sdn Bhd. In their current role, they develop backend services and frontend pages and is actively involved in business acquisition evaluation and communicating with stakeholders.

Jonathan Ooi attended Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Mertajam from 2012-2013 for Form 6, but did not receive a degree. Jonathan later attended Universiti Terbuka Wawasan from 2014-2018, where they received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications.
