Michael Varney Jr, CPA, MBA has a long and varied career in finance and operations. Michael began their professional career in 2008 as a student at the University of Maryland, College Park. Michael then interned at Deloitte & Touche in 2011 before becoming a part-time accountant at Joseph, Greenwald & Laake, P.A. in 2010. After that, they were an Accounting Teaching Scholar at the Robert H. Smith School of Business in 2011. In 2013, they began working at MLB Advanced Media as a Financial Reporting Analyst. Michael then moved up to Manager, Financial Reporting at MLB Advanced Media, L.P. in 2017. In 2018, they became a Manager, FP&A at BSE Global. In 2020, they were hired as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Integral Ad Science. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed as the Vice President of Finance and Operations at Extend.

Michael Varney Jr, CPA, MBA obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland between 2008 and 2012. In 2013, they obtained a Certified Public Accountant certification from the State of Virginia. Michael then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from NYU Stern School of Business between 2015 and 2018, focusing on Business Analytics, Entertainment, Media, and Technology.
