Amal Giknis

National Faculty at PBLWorks

Amal Giknis is an experienced educator and consultant with a focus on project-based learning and inquiry-driven instructional practices. Currently serving as National Faculty at PBLWorks since April 2022, Amal provides facilitation and coaching to enhance school capacities in project-based learning. As an adjunct instructor at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, Amal designs and teaches English Methods courses. Additionally, Amal has been teaching and advising high school students at Science Leadership Academy since August 2014, where the curriculum is centered on innovative, project-based learning methods. With experience as an educational consultant at INQUIRY SCHOOLS and a Designer-in-Residence at reDesign, Amal has contributed to the development of inclusive and competency-focused educational frameworks. Giknis holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and English from William & Mary and a Master of Science in Secondary Education and Teaching from Fordham University.
