Vera Valentine

Vera Valentine has a diverse work experience in the field of design and marketing. Vera began their career as a Design Intern at "...and company" in 2007. Vera then worked as a Designer at RCD/LA, where they collaborated with USGS and Design Matters on a project to raise awareness about earthquake safety. In 2009, Vera worked as a Digital Designer at KCET, curating and producing digital murals for online documentary series Departures. Vera also worked as a Freelance Designer for TOMS, designing holiday catalogs and collaborating with Undefeated Clothing on environmental graphics. In 2012, Vera transitioned to a Marketing Manager role at M80, followed by a position as a Design Director at Valentine Design in 2013, where their clients included Skirball Cultural Center and UC San Diego. Most recently, Vera served as an Art Director at PBS SoCal | KCET, overseeing identity, branding, and design for various projects and managing brand guidelines and design production.

Vera Valentine completed their undergraduate education at Metropolitan State University of Denver from 2002 to 2003, where they pursued a general field of study. Later, they attended ArtCenter College of Design from 2005 to 2008, obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. In February 2020, Vera also obtained a certification in Insights for Innovation from IDEO U.
