Theresa Knowles

Theresa Knowles has extensive experience in healthcare quality improvement and nursing. Currently serving as Chief Quality Officer and Director of Quality Improvement at Penobscot Community Health Care since November 2012, Theresa previously held roles as FNP and Director of Quality Improvement, as well as Operations Director and Manager at Health Access Network from July 2007 to November 2012. Earlier experience includes working as a Home Health and Hospice Nurse at Community Health and Counseling and as an Emergency Room Nurse and EMT at Penobscot Valley Hospital. Theresa holds a Master’s Degree in Family Nurse Practitioner and a Bachelor’s Degree in Registered Nursing from the University of Maine, an Associate’s Degree in Registered Nursing from Eastern Maine Community College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology/Animal Biology.
