Andrea Costas Miguélez

Andrea Costas Miguélez has a diverse range of work experience. Andrea is currently working as a QC Analyst in Microbiology at PCI Pharma Services since September 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded Kori's Project in December 2021, where they aimed to reduce food waste through the development of a healthy snack using local ingredients.

Andrea also worked at Mérieux NutriSciences as a Laboratory Technician at Advanced Laboratory Testing from March 2022 to August 2022. Andrea also briefly worked as a Grant Holder at Advanced Laboratory Testing in February 2022.

Before that, they held grant positions at Universidad de León. Andrea was a Research Assistant in the Laboratorio de Técnicas Instrumentales from July 2021 to December 2021, where they conducted physico-chemical analysis and heavy metals quantification techniques on organic samples. Andrea was also part of the Seguridad Alimentaria y Microbiología de los Alimentos (SAMA) scientific work team from June 2021 to September 2021, focusing on food safety and microbiology research.

In 2019, Andrea co-founded Entogreen SL and worked as a Scientific Research Collaborator, focusing on product development and process optimization using black soldier fly larvae. Andrea explored the application of raw materials from the larvae in food and feed, as well as their potential in organic waste management.

Additionally, Andrea has experience as a Field Hand at HUEVOS BENAVIDES SLU, where they assisted in crop management and simple constructions. In 2015, they worked as an Au Pair through childcare.co.uk.
