Helen Smart

Helen Smart has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Helen started their career at Brecon Pharmaceuticals in 2000 as a Clinical Trial Packaging Manager. In this role, they were responsible for packaging clinical trial supplies and ensuring high-quality standards. Helen also played a key role in planning and allocating resources for efficient operations. Helen worked at Brecon Pharmaceuticals until 2007.

After that, Helen joined AndersonBrecon UK as a Production Manager for Clinical Trials and Commercial Supplies. Helen was responsible for managing production operations and overseeing the introduction of commercial activities. Helen also played a crucial role in harmonizing clinical trial processes between the UK and US sites. Helen worked at AndersonBrecon UK until 2013.

In 2013, Helen joined PCI Pharma Services as a Production Manager for Clinical Trials and Commercial Supplies. Helen continued their responsibilities in managing production operations and introduced the role of Commercial and IMP QP. Helen is currently employed at PCI Pharma Services.

Helen Smart obtained their BSc. (Hons) in Forensic Science from the University of South Wales, which they attended from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they completed their HND in Science (Food) at Letterkenny Institute of Technology from 1994 to 1997. More recently, Helen pursued a PGDiploma in Industrial Pharmaceutical Studies, emphasizing QP Training, at the University of Brighton, which they completed from 2012 to 2015.
