Mike Afergan

Mike Afergan has extensive experience in the technology industry. Mike currently holds the position of Partner and CTO at PDT Partners, a role they have held since September 2018. Prior to this, they worked at Akamai Technologies for a number of years, starting as the Chief Technology Officer in September 2005 and later serving as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of various business units. Additionally, Afergan served as a Board Member at Mercury Payment Systems from October 2010 to June 2014. Their career began at Constant Contact where they worked in engineering from June 1997 to June 1999.

Mike Afergan pursued their education in the field of Computer Science, specializing in Computer Science and Economics. Mike started their academic journey at Harvard University in 1996, where they obtained an AB degree in Computer Science and Economics in 2000. During their time at Harvard, they also earned an SM degree in Computer Science in 2000. Mike further advanced their education by pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2003 to 2005.
