Matt Pedersen-Howard

Matt Pedersen-Howard is a seasoned professional in health, safety, environment, and security, currently serving as Vice President at Peabody Energy since January 2022. Prior experience includes roles as HSE Business Partner at Rio Tinto, and Vice President of Health and Safety at Peabody Energy. Matt co-founded GreySwan, a risk management firm focused on critical risk assessment methodologies. Additional roles include managerial positions at ArcelorMittal Mining and various director and advisory roles at Rio Tinto. Matt holds an MSc in Engineering Design from Loughborough University and a BEng in Material Science & Engineering from Swansea University.
